When To Drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar. We recommend you to let the wine ‘breathe’ at least 15-30 minutes before serving.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red colour. The nose is intense; the dominant notes of red fruit are followed by those of dried roses and violets, followed by distinct hints of nutmeg and cinnamon and mineral hints. On the palate it is soft, with present but velvety tannins. Balanced and persistent wine.
Vinification and Refinement
The harvested grapes undergo a crushing, destemming and a soft pressing. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel fermenters at a controlled temperature. Maturation in oak tonneaux for a period ranging from 15 to 18 months Bottle aging 6 months.
Vineyard
Casavecchia area.
Lands of the Volturno.
Guyot training system, 4000 vines/ha.
