When To Drink
Perfect wine to drink immediately, but can evolve well if left to rest in the cellar
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red colour. The nose is expressed with dominant hints of small red fruits; then decided spicy notes follow. On the palate it is soft, full bodied, balanced and of fine quality. Persistent.
Vinification and Refinement
The harvest is delayed aiming at an overripeness in the vineyard.
The post-fermentation maceration is extended by a few days without exceeding 15 days in total. The new wine rests for a few weeks in steel and is then decanted into small-capacity wood, where it completes the malolactic fermentation. Maturation in small oak barrels for 12-18 months.
Vineyard
6.5 ha, located in the Piana Rotaliana. Specifically, the production areas are: Entichiar, Teroldeghe and Campazzi. 40 year old vineyards.
