When To Drink
Perfect wine to drink immediately, but can evolve well if left to rest in the cellar
Tasting Notes
Deep and elegant ruby red color, it has a complex fruity nose of strawberry jam, plums and cherries, then dark spices and noble woods, with balsamic hints, undergrowth and leather. The wine is pulpy, velvety and concentrated, with an excellent balance between body, sapidity and freshness and a robust and long spicy finish.
Vinification and Refinement
It is harvested as late as possible, then fermented in large wooden vats. After the malolactic fermentation, it ages for at least a year in Tonneau, where it is divided into two refinement variants: a part in new wood and a part in second passage wood.
Vineyard
Mazzon, at an altitude of 400 metres. Very ancient vineyards from the rocky and windswept soils of Lake Garda.
