When To Drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar. We recommend you to let the wine ‘breathe’ at least 60 minutes before serving.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red colour. The nose has enveloping aromas of plums, cherries, currants and blueberries, followed by a hint of mint and a light mineral trail. On the palate it is harmonious, with soft tannins and a well-balanced acidity.
Vinification and Refinement
Vinification takes place in 25 hl stainless steel vats for about 30 days
After racking, the wine rests in concrete tanks for
9 months. The aging is in new and second passage oak barriques for 10 months.
After bottling, the wine is aged in glass bottles
for another 6 months.
Vineyard
One of the most enchanting valleys of the Chianti Classico, just 20 minutes from Florence and 40 from Siena and consists of 11 hectares of land, six of which are dedicated to vineyards while the others are occupied by olive trees, woods, a small lake and a natural spring.
